ApaTech wins third successive TECH TRACK award

21 September 2009

ApaTech, the rapidly growing orthobiologics company, has been recognized for the third successive year as Britain’s fastest growing private medical technology company.

The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 awards announced on 20 September 2009 ranked ApaTech 2nd in the top 100, up 3 places on the Company’s position in last year’s awards. The rankings recognise the remarkable sales performance of ApaTech over the four years to March 2009, which have seen revenues grow at a compound annual growth rate of 180%.
ApaTech’s growth is the result of rapid international adoption of Actifuse, the company’s unique silicate substituted calcium phosphate bone graft material. Actifuse scaffold mimics the body’s natural boney structure and accelerates the growth of high quality bone.

ApaTech products are increasingly being adopted worldwide by orthopaedic and neuro-surgeons in spine fusion, joint reconstruction and trauma applications and the company is now selling its products in 33 countries.

Commenting on the award, Simon Cartmell, Chief Executive Officer of ApaTech said: “This award recognises our delivery on the promise of our technology and its huge commercial potential. It is a great tribute to the success of our scientific leadership and the dedication of our people, and to win the award in three successive years makes us very proud.”
