John von Benecke has joined ApaTech in the position of Group Financial Controller and has responsibility for the day to day financial operations of the business, including oversight of the US subsidiary ApaTech Inc., treasury functions, order fulfillment and supply chain planning, IT and the Quality Management System. John reports to Simon Cartmell, Chief Executive Officer.
John joins from Biocompatibles Plc where he was responsible for Business Planning and Analysis. Prior to this role John was at Abbott Laboratories where he was Commercial Controller for their Pharmaceutical and Nutritional businesses in the
The second appointment is Ian Ellis, who becomes Vice President – Marketing. Ian will be responsible for generating strategic and tactical marketing plans for existing and new products, product promotion strategies, publication plans and core promotional materials on a group-wide basis.
Ian joins from Stata-G, a consultancy firm offering marketing support to start-up and young biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Prior to this he was Sales and Marketing Director at GW Pharmaceuticals and Community Marketing Director at Elan Corporation (UK). Ian was previously responsible for Losec, the world’s largest prescription pharmaceutical while at AstraZeneca in the mid 1990s.
Ian will also report to Simon Cartmell, Chief Executive Officer.
