ApaTech continues on FAST TRACK

ApaTech has been recognized for the second successive year as Britain’s fastest growing private medical technology company.

‘The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100’ awards announced on 28 September 2008 ranked ApaTech 5th in the top 100, up eight places on the Company’s position in last year’s awards. This recognises the tremendous sales performance of ApaTech over the three years to March 2008, which saw revenues grow at a compound annual growth rate of 205%.

ApaTech’s growth is based on the company’s unique development of silicate substituted calcium phosphate chemistry and novel manufacturing technologies, which provide a scaffold that mimics natural bone and stimulates rapid bone growth.

This significant advance is increasingly being adopted worldwide by orthopaedic and neuro-surgeons in spine fusion, joint reconstruction and trauma applications and the company is now selling its products in 21 countries.

Commenting on the award, Simon Cartmell, Chief Executive Officer of ApaTech said: “This is a great tribute to the success of our science and the dedication of our people; we are elated at achieving this award in two consecutive years.  We have taken some bold decisions in building the business and it is very rewarding when an independent organisation, such as Fast Track, endorses that boldness.”
