Dr. Choll Kim
Dr. Choll Kim graduated cum laude from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He also completed fellowship training in spine surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. from UCLA in Molecular Biology. He is currently Assistant Professor of Orthopadic Surgery at UCSD and Chief of the Spine Service at the Veterans Administration Health Care System in San Diego. He is active in a number of professional societies, particularly those focused on minimally invasive spine surgery.

In addition to an active clinical practice, Dr. Kim maintains an active research program as Director of the Spine Research Laboratories at UCSD. His particular interests include computer-assisted minimally invasive spine surgery, tumors of the spine, osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, and biologic scaffolds for tissue engineering.
