Dr. Luiz Pimenta attended the Paulista Medical School, receiving his doctorate in neurosurgery. He subsequently completed spine endoscopy training in Gainesville, FL and a fellowship in spine endoscopy in Frankfurt, Germany. He is assistant professor of neurosurgery at both the Federal University and the Faculdade de Jundiai in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He also maintains a very active private practice while traveling the world training spine surgeons in advanced surgical technologies.

In addition to surgery, Dr. Pimenta has a leading role in developing advanced surgical techniques and implants for use in the spine. He maintains an active consultancy with industrial partners.
