Dr. Cassidy has more than 16 years experience in the medical device industry and prior to joining ApaTech, Inc. was the founder and president of Medical Device Consulting International, LLC, offering business and product development services to the medical device industry.

Before founding his consulting business, Dr. Cassidy was President of CERAbio, LLC, a developmental stage orthopaedic and neurosurgery company. Under Dr. Cassidy's leadership, CERAbio was sold to Wright Medical Technology in 2002. Earlier in his career, Dr. Cassidy held senior management positions in several medical device companies, including Augustine Medical, Kinetikos Medical, Inc., and Collagen Corporation.

He began his career working in various capacities for Smith & Nephew, plc in Memphis, TN and Heslington, York, U.K. Dr. Cassidy holds three U.S. patents with several patent applications pending. He received his B.A.S. in Engineering and B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, his M.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western University, and his Executive M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.
